The first thing you will notice when you receive your 2nd Wind yoga mat is the smell. Now, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. What I do know is that I have had this mat on my lounge floor for about two weeks now, sweating on it as well as sleeping on it and there has been no smell.
The texture feels great on your body and it also allows you to get a perfect grip with the non-slip handprint. It is a much thinner mat though so it would not be good for a hard yoga session.
I honestly think all yoga mats should be this biodegradable and non-toxic. I don't think I have ever had such a non-sticky yoga mat before. It is 5 mm thick giving it a harder surface to work with. I still haven't seen it come off a wall yet! It also feels great on the skin and can be used inside and out.
If you are looking for a yoga mat to last for a decade of practice, then this mat won't work for you. It claims to last 3 years but I think it should last much longer based on the quality of the mat and the thickness of the material.
This yoga mat is best for someone wanting to put some effort into purchasing a nicer yoga mat.
