You asked and we listened. Today we will review the Misfit Shine.
It’s been popular on the market ever since it was launched and so we decided to take a closer look at it for you. Here we go:
- Can be worn on the wrist or any other convenient part of the body
- Battery lasts up to 4 days
- Small and lightweight
- Stylish and comfortable wristband
- Data can be synced with various apps.
- Can be worn while swimming and showering
- Large variety of colors
- Tracks and highlights sleep, physical and sedentary activities as separate categories
The Misfit Shine is an activity and sleep tracker in an updated package with an anodized aluminum body, white display, and wireless syncing. The Shine is designed to be waterproof and syncs up your activity and sleep data to a paired iPhone, Android phone, Mac, or PC.
The light sensor will automatically adapt to the ambient light in your surroundings to also track your steps as well. It also has a battery life of six months, which is not bad considering it's a pricey activity tracker.
After a few weeks of use, the Shine synced to my iPhone and I liked the fit and feel of the tracker. It's sleek, comfortable, and looks cool on your wrist.
My only real gripe was that the battery life was not as good as advertised. It would run for about three weeks before dying, but within two weeks I had to replace the battery which wasn't too much of a hassle.
All in all, I think the Shine is a really cool activity tracker for someone who wants to track not only their steps, but their sleep too.
